    thanks so much - when i knitted this 2 years ago, i hadn't even heard of Sharon Miller, or Heirloom Knitting, and didn't really think i was doing anything special. i was trying to replace something my mother had muttered about. it turned out it was the wrong thing anyway, because she was referring to something decades ago i have no memory of. but it started me off on a journey. and now i have to knit her a long lace scarf, which is what she really wanted - and so the journey goes on! ;) ps.: loved your site, can i add it to mine?

    The shawl is just incredible. Did you get the pattern out of Gladys Amedro's book (sigh...covet, covet) or did you get it on its own? Just breathtaking.

    i got the shawl pattern as a 1-off from Jamieson and Smith, but my mother, being tiny, wanted something smaller. However, I have managed to track down her book and am waiting with baited breath ... :)
